I like the U.S. team's chances a lot more if they placed 2nd in group, just because the bottom half of the draw gives them a much easier run to the semis, I at least hope they can reach the quarters either way. And I like Ivory Coast's chances on their home continent, just seems like they have the power to make a huge run at things, this is one of the deeper tourney's in a long time as far as the group stages go, most are 3 deep at contenders, so there will be plenty of upsets along the way, I think.

I'll probably have to change my Ivory Coast prediction, since Drogba broke his arm, he was their whole offense basically. Ghana's without Essien for the Cup, so I didn't see them advancing, and Germany will be without Ballack, so idk about them either. Also, England just lost Rio Ferdinand too, so the U.S. might have a better shot at winning the group now, I'll keep that prediction up for a bit I think.

I really like your Ivory Coast, XD. Didnt know bout Rio. Germany still has good team. England will rely solely on Rooney. But i dont think they will do good, they never do, so why now? USA got lucky with Altidore, their main striker. France sucked today with a loss over China, but i think that will only fire them up

Tbh, I almost would prefer the USA to place 2nd in their group, because all they'd have to do after that is beat a depleted Germany team and they'd reach the semis easily, I think. As it is, I like our odds of making the quarters, which is damn good for us.

I still think Ivory Coast can make it out of group, just because I'm not sure that Brazil or Portugal won't choke a game away to them or underestimate them, but I think they'll lose in the knockout stage or quarters instead now.
